Calling All Artists 2009 – 2010
Are you an artist? Are you interested in joining a thriving Art Collective? Then Waveney Springs may be for you.
We are now in our second year and are made up of painters, sculptors, printers and makers who live within a ten mile radius of Diss on either side of the River Waveney, hence our name. So far we have held two successful Art Trails accompanied by exhibitions and workshops and also an exhibition independent of the Art Trails at Redgrave and Lopham Fen, which was very well received. We have been particularly pleased with the take up for and the responses with the workshops we have held. People have thoroughly enjoyed them and it is very pleasing to feel that Waveney Springs is not only promoting the work of its members successfully but also encouraging others to try their hand at various forms of art.
Each year we aim to open our group to other artists and in this way hope to invigorate our membership. We are keen to welcome people of all ages. Visit the other pages on our website to learn more about us.
Artists should live within a 10 mile radius of Diss and are invited to submit;
• Up to five images that represents their work
• Text of no more than 150 words that explains their ideas and inspiration
• A CV on a side of A4
• A reason for joining ‘Waveney Springs’
Please send all required information to the contacts email address, in electronic or disc format for selection. On acceptance an annual subscription fee will be payable [currently £45.00 per individual, revised annually at an AGM]
